The glitter brow

The title of this coolhunt already reveals what it is about, namely, the glitter brow. People are glittering up their brows to stand out in the society. With the glitter brow they are showing a part of their identity which must be a very striking part. I think this glitter brow particularly improves the Quality of Life of people in the field of Emotional Wellbeing from the Felce and Perry model. I think people who wear glitters on their eyebrows are satisfied when they do it, and it may help to earn respect from other people (other people may think ‘Wow, that girl just dares to do that!’. It can also improve the Quality of Life of people in the field of ‘Development and Activity’, because wearing something different like other people do is a choice you can make, which belongs to the ‘Development and Activity’. People can also feel independent when they dare to wear glitter eyebrows, because it’s their choice and they have the power to choose to wear them.

Bionic girl

This is about a girl who doesn’t feel pain and hunger. She also is never tired. I think this disease sure doesn’t improve the Quality of Life of people, but I can say on which fields this disease I think has influence. First the ‘Social Wellbeing’ field. Eating for example is something people often to with friends, as something social. I think when you’re Bionic, and don’t feel the need to eat, this could have impact on your social life, your social wellbeing. But it can also have influence on the ‘Physical Wellbeing’ field of the Felce and Perry model. It could harm your health, so that’s also something where - in this case - the Quality of Life is being decreased instead of being improved. Also on the ‘Emotional Wellbeing’ field are some points like ‘Satisfaction’ and ‘Self-esteem’ being Bionic could have influence on.

Self-tying Nike shoes

This coolhunt is about Nike’s newest shoes which tie their own shoelaces. I think these shoes can improve the Quality of Life of people on particularly the ‘Emotional Wellbeing’ field of the Felce and Perry model. They can make people feel satisfied when they don’t have to tie their own shoes so they’ll have more time left to spend on ‘important’ things.

Fashion campaign Laxmi Saa

This blogpost is about a fashion campaign by Viva N Diva with Laxmi Saa in the center of it. When Laxmi was fifteen years old, a man threw caustic acid over her, which caused that her physical beauty was being destroyed. This campaign is made to let people see beauty contains more than only the physical part. I think this campaign particularly improves the Quality of Life of people on the ‘Emotional Wellbeing’ field of the Felce and Perry model. This campaign ensures that people are aware of what beauty is and even though your physical beauty is gone, you can still be beautiful. It can make people feel satisfied with their own looks/beauty, and could help to improve their self-esteem.

Fashion show transgenders/androgyne's

This blogpost is about a fashion show, made by Jan Hoek en Duran Lantink on the Amsterdam Fashion Week 2016. The show is about transgenders and androgynes. The garments are made of recycled old garments and the models in the show are transgenders. Also something important about the garments: they are genderless. I think this fashion show could help improve the Quality of Life of people on the ‘Social Wellbeing’ field, the ‘Emotional Wellbeing’ field and on the ‘Development and Activity’ field. First the ‘Social Wellbeing’ field: I think this fashion show (which is an event) could help to get acceptance and support from people, for being transgender. I think on the ‘Emotional Wellbeing’ field it could help improve people’s self-esteem and earn respect, because they are true to themselves at that fashion show. And last, the ‘Development and Activity’ field of the Felce and Perry model; I think this fashion show could help to make the transgenders who walk in the show feel independent and feel like they have a choice to to be themselves, which is awesome.
