I always like to go to hotels, because in some strange way it makes me feel like I'm way richer than the poor student I am. I don't have to go the supermarket, because I can call room service. How cooooool is that?

What is it? But recently, Albert Heijn (a Dutch supermarket chain) has developed the 'AH Hotel' at Kaatsheuvel. As usual, there is a AH supermarket, but on top of the supermarket is an hotel. All the food that's left over and can't be sold anymore, is used at the hotel to prepare delicious meals for the guests. And off course, those meals aren't covered with mold, because the food is still eatable, but supermarkets have to abide by the expiration date.

Why is it cool? I think this AH Hotel is a very cool thing, because it helps decrease food waste. I also think this hotel can be linked to the trend 'The Open World' because nowadays, these kind of hotels for example against food waste CAN be build. Of course, there has always been food waste, but because everyone can read it on the internet, or one their facebook page now, things like the AH Hotel are being made. Before everybody knew, there was no need to think about building things like this. But because of the internet, there has become the need to do something to decrease food waste, I think. Because everybody is simply aware of it.

I would like to go to the AH Hotel some day, who's in?
